Growing older can sometimes mean seeking help to manage day-to-day living activities.
To help you live independently in your own home and community for as long as possible, there are many home care products and services available. These range from assistance with daily chores to personal care, providing meals, transport assistance, respite care for you or your carer, home modifications and social support.
There are many different types of aged care services available, and many are government-funded. Eligibility is based on an assessment process, called an ACAT (or ACAS in Victoria). Carers may also be eligible for respite services.
